Its safety and reliability even in the most adverse conditions, together with its generously sized spaces, makes the new Rodman 1290 Evolution an exceptional vessel in its class. Of the equipment on board, noteworthy is the Volvo Penta IPS, a fully electronic system that optimises such important variables as acceleration, fuel consumption, range, manoeuvrability and comfort.

In summer 2020 we'll see one of the most anticipated launches from Rodman's Spanish shipyard  - the Rodman 1290 Evolution.

Like the Rodman 1090 Evolution launched in 2019, the 1290 Evolution will be based on a proven, existing hull, and there are few hulls that are as iconic as that of the Rodman 1250.

The Rodman 1250 was launched in the late 1990's, and she firmly set the benchmark for the ultimate sports fishing cruiser. With the flared shape of the hull, she pushes through the waves with ease, creating the shape of angel wings with the spray. Her large cockpit is a haven for those who love to fish, and the deep walkaround side decks ensure the safety of the whole family, children and pets alike.

We've seen Rodman 1250's accomplish wonderful voyages, including 'Sea Sea' who travelled all the way to the icebergs of Greenland under her own steam, and 'Keep it Reel' who sailed from the Highlands of Scotland to start a new life as a game fishing boat in the Canary Islands. They've been charter fishing boats, supplied wind farms, and safely looked after family and friends on many enjoyable days on the water.

Now, this proven hull, gets a brand new superstructure, and stunning hull windows, as she emerges as the new Rodman 1290 Evolution. New features include side door, larger saloon windows, electric sliding roof (on hard top version), larger forward cabin skylight and new interior materials.

There is still the choice with the 1290 Evolution to have a flybridge or hard top version, and you can choose from conventional shaft drive or the Volvo Penta IPS system - a fully electronic system that optimises such important variables such as acceleration (0 -30 kts in 13 seconds), fuel consumption (30% less than conventional shaft drives), range, manoeuvrability and comfort.
